Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to Verge MCP Browser for iOS and the services provided by Thinklet Labs in connection with the app. It covers information handled through the app, including when you enable the Model Context Protocol (MCP) service.
It does not cover websites you visit, search providers, AI clients you connect, or other third-party services. Those services have their own privacy practices and terms.
Information we handle
Browsing content. Verge renders websites on your iPhone. The pages, form entries, history, bookmarks, downloads, and tab data you create are handled by the app to provide browser features. Verge does not require an account.
MCP connection details. When MCP is enabled, Verge creates a local-network endpoint and an API key. The endpoint address, port, service status, and key are used to authenticate and route requests from your chosen MCP client.
Support messages. If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address and message. We use it to respond and support the app.
Diagnostics. Verge may process basic technical information needed to keep the app working, such as app version, iOS version, device model, and crash details, where enabled by iOS or supplied by you. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles.
MCP connections
MCP is off by default and is available through your local network only while Verge is active. Every request must include the API key generated in the app.
- Agent tabs use an isolated browser profile by default.
- Regular profile sharing requires a separate, explicit opt-in in Verge.
- Passwords, passkeys, and Keychain contents are not directly exposed through the MCP tools.
- Once you share the endpoint and key, your chosen MCP client can request the browser actions you authorize. That client may store or process the resulting page content under its own policy.
Disable the MCP service or regenerate the key in Verge at any time. Regenerating the key invalidates the prior key.
Sharing and disclosure
Verge does not sell your personal information. We do not share your browsing content with Thinklet Labs as part of the core local MCP feature.
Information can leave your device when you intentionally use a website, search provider, download destination, AI client, support channel, or other third-party service. Those recipients may process information according to their own terms.
We may disclose limited information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect the security of the app or users, investigate abuse, or enforce our rights.
Retention and security
Browser data is retained on your device according to the app features and the choices you make. You can delete history, bookmarks, tabs, and downloads using Verge or iOS controls.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures for information we control. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so keep your API key private and only share it with clients you trust.
Your choices and rights
You can use Verge without creating an account, keep MCP disabled, use Private Browsing, and remove local browser data through the app. You can also stop local access by disabling MCP or regenerating the key.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or information about our processing. To make a request, contact us at privacy@thinkletlabs.com. We may need to verify your request and may retain information where the law requires it.
Children
Verge is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Verge changes or as legal requirements evolve. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the latest version took effect. If a change is material, we will provide a more prominent notice where appropriate.
